Colossians 1:16-19 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities–all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him,
This is the King I serve. Not blindly or without interaction. Like He was some carved piece of wood. A talisman one hopes in. I was thinking about this the other day. There is unbelievable evidence that Jesus is the Christ. Besides His many convincing proofs while alive. Over 500 saw Him alive after His death on the cross. His tomb was guarded by Roman soldiers to prevent anyone from removing Him and a huge rock had been sealed to the opening of His tomb. That didn’t hold Him. That He died and was resurrected even has secular evidence in archeological finds. If one believes that the bible is the inspired word of God (I do) then there is so much written proof that the facts are undeniable.
The bible is obviously NOT authored by man. Written by 43 authors over 1500 years, the books are intricately entwined to make a tapestry of truth that is made up of the prophetic, the lyrical and the historical. All parts are in agreement with one another. Most of the prophetic has historically been fulfilled and all that remains is the final conflict of good and evil and the return of the proper King and kingdom to earth. We can see the precursors of those prophecies beginning to be fulfilled daily in the age we live in.
But all that evidence is nothing compared to this. He is the God who knows me. We talk. Oh not like you and I talk to one another. It is in the Spirit, but so often has the creator of the entire universe talked with me I am left without a doubt of His reality. And the things we talk about fall into all the same categories. The lyrical, the historical, and the prophetic. And everything He tells me about my future comes to pass. If something He speaks to me about requires action on my part, He will confirm it in the mouth of two or three witnesses. That this One who created the entire universe carries on a close relationship with each of His children is absolutely amazing. Trust in Him all you people. He is trustworthy.
Ahead lies a final battle. His saints will not go through it alone. His promise is that He will never leave us or forsake us. Even if at times we may feel forsaken. He is the God who sees you.
